This is a very friendly club and all are welcome.  Children below 8 must be accompanied by a responsible adult and no children below 8 are permitted to bowl. 

There are 3 practice sessions a week and these are on:

• on Tuesday at 1340, start play at 1400 and play until 1600
• on Thursday at 0940, start play at 1000 and play until 1200
• on Friday at 1910, start play at 1930 and play until 2130.

If you would like to try short mat bowling you:

• should send your contact details to the Club using the email address  and one of the Club Officers will contact you
• would be welcome at any practice session and the cost for a visitor is £2.50 per 2 hour session
• would need flat smooth bottom shoes or thick socks, as ordinary shoes are not allowed on the mats
• can borrow a set of woods

 If you are considering joining the Club you will need to:

• take part in at least 6 practice sessions as a guest (cost £2.50 per session)
• purchase bowls shoes, which can be bought at most good sports shops or ordered on line
• purchase a set of 4 bowls.  The Club has some second hand sets of bowls, from about £50, or you might buy a new set of bowls, starting at about £175.  You should discuss the type of bowl (size and weight) that might best suit you with other Club members
• having taken part in at least 6 practice sessions you would need to complete an application form that requires two Club members to support your application

Whilst your application is being considered by the General Committee you can continue to bowl at practice sessions at the member's rate of £2.00 per session. If your application is successful you will need to pay your Club membership fee within one month.  Currently the membership fee is £35.00 per year, paid in April, and those joining at other times would pay £3.00 per month for each complete month till the next April.
